RAM National Finals Draw Near!

Posted on: Apr 03, 2014 by Kevin

Hello Everyone,

We are a week away from the RAM National Finals Rodeo in Guthrie, OK at the famous Lazy E Arena and I couldn't be more excited about the opportunity that I have in front of me. I will be traveling down to Oklahoma with the champion of the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals in the steer wrestling, Mr. Ross Mosher. Ross currently is attending Montana State University and I am also a recent MSU graduate. We a proud to be able to represent the Bobcats on a national stage.

This weekend April 4th-6th, Bozeman, MT will play host to the most exciting college rodeo in the nation. They pack the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse for three consecutive nights and put on a production that is at the tops of college rodeo. It is a great experience for all of the student/athletes who are able to participate, and is as close a feeling to the College National Finals held in Casper, WY that these cowboys & cowgirls will experience. I am involved on the production side of this event and I would like to thank all of the volunteers and sponsors that make this event a success. If you are in Bozeman, make sure you come out and support the Bobcats!

The professional rodeo circuit is fairly quiet in the northern states this time of year but we were able to get the season off to a good start on March 21st at the Rocky Mountain Classic Pro Rodeo in Kalispell, MT. This is the first rodeo of the Montana Circuit 2014 season and Austin Barstow's good horse Jazz and I were able to take home the Tie Down Roping win with a time of 9.2 seconds. It was a great feeling to get off to a good start in the Circuit as well as gain some momentum going into the RAM Finals.

This time of year makes cowboys realize how vital their sponsors are and I really appreciate the support that I have received to help get me to more rodeos and am thankful for the companies who believe in what I am able to represent. Thank you Fast Back Ropes, Flair Equine Nasal Strips, and Montucky Cold Snacks for your support.
