2nd Round RAM National Circuit Finals

Hello Everybody! It has been a while since I have updated the blog. As we get ready to start the Northern Rodeo Association and Montana Pro Circuit Rodeos I thought that I would put a cap on the 2013 year. I was very fortunate to have a good friend Austin Barstow that let me ride his horse Jazz at the Montana Pro Circuit Finals, Kalispell Pro Rodeo, and the Ram National Circuit Finals Rodeo. We got along well and won $7,500 over 6 runs together. I am going to be back on my own horse, Ace, this summer and after 6 months off I think he is ready to get back into the action.

It was great to get to compete with the top guys in our sport at the RNCFR and watching them really showed me how important the mental part of our sport is. A competitor that has a good mental game can put himself in a position to win almost no matter what the situation. From the equipment care and horse care to the level of risk they are willing to take it is all calculated to give them a competitive advantage. When you are trying to make a living at rodeo you have to give yourself every edge. It was important for me to see that side of the industry and I think it will be a big advantage for me this summer as I put that type of professionalism into my compeition habits.

Fastback Ropes and Flair Equine have been great sponsors this season and I am proud to use their products as they give me the competitive edge that I look for.
